Previously he worked for nine years in various organizations
including the United Nations Environment programme (UNEP)
as a documents production and distribution officer,
The Standard newspaper as an editor and Business Africa
newspaper as the business editor. He is credited with
planning, developing and launching a distinct editorial
policy, which saw Business Africa’s circulation
in Africa double in less than one year.
Mr. Owino holds a masters degree in Communications
Studies, a Bachelors degree in Economics and a post
graduate diploma in Journalism from the University of
Nairobi. He also holds a post graduate diploma in Business
Administration and a certificate in Environmental Journalism
from Rhodes University, South Africa.
